After National Conference and Congress have set “their strategies” rolling in South Kashmir for two seats: Assembly and Lok Sabha, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Friday said “it will gear up for Local body and Panchayat polls is all set to intensify its activities at grassroots level”.
PDP-BJP government will be in office from April 04 when Ms Mehbooba Mufti and her cabinet takes of office and secrecy in Jammu.
“The party is at present busy with membership drive which is progressive well with people enthusiastically seeking the party’s registration,” a PDP statement said this afternoon. “The party is likely to review the grassroots activity at Zonal level in which all the the zone presidents with district committees and zone committees will be invited to participate.”
“The party is awaiting approval from the president for ensuring broad based complexion of the organization and viable structuring with sister organizations (the youth and women’s wing) to assume organizational responsibilities with full sense of participation,” the statement added.
“Party will ensure the accomplishment of the vision of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and serious efforts are being made in this direction for effective orientation of the party cadre,” the statement added, “party is committed to sustainable peace and the party will make relentless effort to achieve the goals under the dynamic leadership of Mehbooba Mufti.”
