Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) on Thursday has paid rich and glowing tributes to Shaheed Ishfaq Majeed Wani, Shaheed Dr Abdul Ahad Guru and Shaheed Shabir Ahmad Sidiqi on their death anniversaries.

A party spokesman said in a statement that government forces are on a killing spree in Kashmir from last three decades however they have not succeeded in wiping out the pro-freedom people of Kashmir nor they have killed and crushed the freedom movement.

While paying tributes to the said people and the four killed in Sundarbani area of Rajouri during a gunfight. The JKDFP said that “our martyrs are spilling out their blood to break the chains of slavery so it is our utmost responsibility to safeguard their sacrifices.”

JKDFP said that Kashmir is purely a political dispute, and every effort to crush the genuine struggle of the Kashmiris is destined to fail. The United Nations Resolutions are the foundation of our freedom struggle and India is under moral, political and international obligation to resolve the Kashmir issue by holding a free, fair and impartial plebiscite in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Strongly rejecting the government propaganda against the people’s movement, JKDFP statement said that neither the paucity of time nor state repression can change the situation in Jammu Kashmir or overpower the will of the people of the region fighting for their birthright. Kashmir freedom struggle is an indigenous movement in nature and substance and it cannot be linked to any kind of terrorism.

The government’s propaganda across the globe against the Kashmir freedom struggle is roguish and based on falsehood.
