Kashmir Life unconditionally and unreservedly apologises to Dr Arun Kumar Mehta for publishing on its website and/or social media platforms reports and material containing allegations concerning him, which form the subject matter of the proceedings presently pending before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi.
We acknowledge that, prior to carrying and publishing the said allegations, Kashmir Life did not undertake the due and independent verification of the allegations that ought to have preceded the publication of allegations of this nature.
We regret our failure to undertake such verification before publication and sincerely apologise to Dr Arun Kumar Mehta for the distress, embarrassment and reputational prejudice caused to him by publication of the said material.
The impugned articles/publications and substantially identical reproductions thereof have been permanently removed from the website, social-media platforms and other platforms owned or controlled by Kashmir Life.
Kashmir Life does not stand by the impugned publications and sincerely, unequivocally and unconditionally apologises to Dr Arun Kumar Mehta for having published the same without undertaking the requisite due verification.”
