SRINAGAR: Municipal Committee Handwara on Tuesday demolished an ‘illegal’ under-construction shopping complex, coming up within the township, official sources said.
The shopping complex was being built on a piece of land with Khasra numbers 1464, 65, 66, 67, and 71. Concerns were raised by the public regarding the alleged unauthorized construction within the Municipal limits, prompting the Municipal Committee to take notice.
Responding to the concerns expressed by the people, the Municipal Committee swiftly took action and completely demolished the structure.
The sources further mentioned that the Municipal Committee has issued a strong warning to the public, urging them to refrain from engaging in any construction activities without obtaining prior permission from the relevant authorities. (GNS)
