J&K Government Wednesday said that 602 migrant Kashmir Pandit females are serving in valley appointed under Prime Minister’s package.

Responding to a question in the upper house, raised by MLC Surinder Mohan Ambardar, the government stated that 39 among such females have been transferred from time to time outside their parent district from one zone to another zone.

In a written response to another question, the government stated that two female employees of Mattan zone have been transferred to Islamabad zone while 35 have been transferred within Mattan zone, all within 3 Km’s.

The government also stated that 72 female migrant ladies have been transferred in Vessu zone of Qazigund, all within 2 Km’s.

In Pulwama zone, the government stated, 17 female migrant employees have been transferred, all working within 1-7 Km’s.

Responding to another question on any specific transfer policy, the government informed the house that there is no specific policy for transferring female employees appointed under Prime Minister’s Package. “However, due care is taken with regard to the distance from their transit accommodation to their place of posting.
