SRINAGAR: CPI(M) leader and Kulgam MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has condemned the reported attack on a Srinagar-bound passenger bus in Haryana, urging the government to take up the matter with its Haryana counterpart and ensure strict action against those responsible.
A passenger bus travelling from Delhi to Srinagar was allegedly pelted with bricks and stones in Haryana on Saturday night, leaving an elderly passenger injured and the vehicle damaged.
Terming the incident unfortunate, Tarigami said such acts had no place in a society founded on mutual respect and co-existence. He expressed solidarity with the passengers who were travelling on the bus.
He urged the authorities to take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
