Mohan chaired a high-level meeting at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC), attended by J&K Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP Nalin Prabhat, Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava (GoC 15 Corps), ADG (CID) Nitish Kumar, senior CAPF officials and intelligence agency representatives.

IANS reported that the review focused on overall security preparedness, including coordination among the Army, CAPFs, and J&K Police. The multi-tier security setup covers the twin routes to the cave shrine—Pahalgam and Baltal—base camps, transit camps, and convoy movement from Jammu.

The annual pilgrimage to the 3,888-metre-high shrine comes amid heightened alert following the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Measures in place include RFID tracking, real-time weather alerts, health facilities, and emergency evacuation protocols.

Authorities said full coordination among agencies is ensuring robust security planning for the pilgrimage.
