Terming the statements of the unionist political parties regarding the friendly relationship between India and Pakistan and advocacy of Indo-Pak talks as “their deception and deceit”, Chairperson All Parties Hurriyat Conference (g) Syed Ali Geelani Sunday said termed them as “the worst enemies of the Kashmiri people”
He said ,”they sometimes talk about the resolution of Kashmir issue to befool the public.” “These people not only lengthen the way of freedom struggle of their own nation but they also play a key role in subjecting us to live the lives of slaves. Since 1947, the people of Jammu & Kashmir have witnessed bloodshed, massacres and barbarism at the hands of Indian occupational forces and there is no let-up in these miseries till date.”
“The pro-Indian parties are the prime accused of the miseries and killings of the lakhs of Kashmiri innocent people because these people have always played the roles of Mir Jaffar and Mir Sadiq and they have always took the side of the oppression and the oppressor. The pro-Indian parties are the power hunger people and their only and most important goal has always been the power and the chair and for that purpose they can go to any extent,” he added.
Geelani, who is undergoing house detention appealed Pakistan government “not to beg for talks with India but focus on the UN resolutions with regarding to the Kashmir issue”.
“The disputes and issues are at last solved through dialogue not wars and we are not against the dialogue processes but until India will not accept the disputed nature of Kashmir and until this country will not shun its integral part rhetoric and calling the so-called election dramas as ‘referendum’, till then the dialogues are meaningless exercises and they will not yield any result because both the countries have held more than 150 rounds of talks so far with each other but all those processes have remained result less and have achieved nothing,” Geelani said in an amalgam statement.
He termed Kashmir issue is an “International Dispute and not only 13 million Kashmiris are suffering by the lingering of this dispute but it is also the reason behind the instability and political uncertainty in the whole South Asian region”. “The only big hurdle in solving this long pending dispute is the rigid and stubborn policy of India and this country wants to solve this issue with its state power and military might instead of international resolutions and agreements.”
Appealing people “not to come into the traps of these characterless people”, the octogenarian Hurriyat leader said, “these people are masters in changing characters and languages. They use a different language at the time of election dramas and after gaining the votes, they dramatically change their character and issue quit opposite statements.”
“Kashmiris have offered countless and precious sacrifices for their freedom struggle and they will not allow anybody to harm those sacred sacrifices and the struggle of our nation will continue at any cost till the dawn of freedom,” he further said.
