Unknown Gunmen Snatches Pistol From MLA’s Brother

Unidentified gunmen snatched a pistol and 70 rounds from the brother of MLA Pulwama who being the police officer is also personal security officer of the MLA.

Police sources told CNS that Abdul Gani Bandh, Sub Inspector, and brother of Peoples Democratic Party leader and MLA Pulwama Mohammd Khalil Bandh was intercepted by unknown gunmen near Pinglina Pulwama during the late hours on Wednesday.

“Militants stopped him on the gun point and directed him to handover his pistol and ammunition to them which he instantly obliged to save his life,” a police official told CNS that soon decamping Gani from the weapon, militants fled from the scene.

Police sources said that militants were two in number who were carrying sophisticated weapons according to Abdul Gani.

Police has registered a case vide FIR number 179/2013 under section 292 and 341 of RPC.

Pertinently, Abdul Gani works in Jammu and Kashmir Police as sub inspector and he has been appointed as personal security officer of his brother Abdul Gani Bandh who is PDP MLA from Pulwama.
