Higher reaches like Gulmarg of the Kashmir Valley received intermittent rains and snowfall for the fifth consecutive day Friday.

Reports said that Qazigund and Kupwara towns also received fresh snowfall.

MeT sources said that around one foot of fresh snow accumulated in Gulmarg during the night, while Pahalgam recorded 7 cm of fresh snowfall.

Srinagar received 25 mm of rainfall in the night and the city recorded a low of 0.4 degree Celsius the previous night, they said.

MeT department has predicted fresh precipitation in Jammu and Kashmir from February 23 evening.
