The Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly on Tuesday witnessed chaos as Mla Langate Er Rasheed raised the issue of the arrest of Bilal Ahmad kawa.
As soon as the Assembly started Rasheed raised the issue of a Srinagar businessman Bilal Ahmed Kawa, who according to police was involved on December 22, 2000, Red Fort attack in which three people, including two Army men, were killed.
Rasheed demands a statement from the government over issue arrest of Bilal Kawa and staged rukus in well of the house for at least 10 minutes and raised slogans that “Bilal kawa is innocent” release Bilal kawa.
He questioned government what is his Sin?.
“Why has Kawa been arrested after 16 years; aap nay ghar ka chiraag buja diya hai,” Rasheed told the house. “J&K CID head has given in writing that there is nothing against Kawa but why has he been arrested?”
He said that the Central Government wants to create another Afzal Guru and they are dramatizing in the arrest of the Kashmiri.
Meanwhile, Nc legislator Ali Mohammad Sagar also raised the issue of Bilal Ahmad kawa and demand the release of Bilal.
He said in the House if any Indian Citizen has arrested in any country the Indian Foreign Minister intervene in the issue like that you take the issue with Dehli.
He added that Bilal is innocent and had never involved in any anti-national activities state police has already given clean chit to Bilal.
