SRINAGAR: An 83-year-old United States national was found dead in the Dalgate area of Srinagar on Wednesday after reportedly falling unconscious in the morning, officials said.
Official sources said that the foreign tourist was shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Anderson John David, a resident of Washington DC, United States, sources said.
They said the body was later shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for medico-legal formalities, including a full-body CT scan.
Police have taken cognisance of the matter and initiated further proceedings. (JKNS)
