Former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took a dig at the current PDP-led coalition government for “forcing” the J&K bank to refurbish the iconic Kashmir Gold Club (KGC) under CSR activity and instead advised to utilize the money for education and health sector.

Writing on Twitter, Omar said, “Forcing J&K bank to adopt Kashmir Golf Club under CSR is hardly socially responsible. Use the money to place equipment in rural hospitals.”

Omar suggested channeling the money instead for upgradation of education sector and sponsoring new laboratory blocks for schools. “Sponsor sports equipment is rural schools. Why golf greens?” he asked.

He further tossed a barb at the CM writing, “As it is you just forced the bank to spend 100s of 1000s on Mufti Sb’s fantasy amusement park in Pahalgam, an eye sore to say the least.”
