SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that  Rahul Bhat’s killing was targeted.

He also said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) will probe the incident from all angles, as reported by news agency ANI.

The SIT will also probe the use of force to disperse Kashmiri migrant protestors in the aftermath of the incident, said the LG.

Two foreign militants involved in the killing have been shot down by the police in an encounter. Directions have been given to the administration to not use force anywhere, said Manoj Sinha.

LG Manoj Sinah has also ordered an enquiry into the tear gas shelling against the protesting Kashmiri Pandits. Sources in the government said that strict action will be taken against officials involved in the action.

Police had used tear gas against Kashmir Pandits protesting against killing of govt employee Rahul Bhat. The J&K LG will be coming to Delhi at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 15.
