Putting Peoples Democratic Party in a tight spot, independent lawmaker from North Kashmir’s Langate constituency, Er Rasheed Saturday asked PDP to say good bye to right wing Hindu Nationalist BJP.
“Party must use the opportunity of government formation to rectify the mistake of entering into alliance with BJP,” Rasheed said in a statement.
Rasheed said, “let NC, Congress and others offer unconditional but firm and sincere support to Mehbooba Ji and make a public commitment that they all will ensure that the dispensation so formed lasts for the full term.” “The said arrangement will not only heal few wounds of people of the state but will provide PDP an opportunity to accommodate maximum of its MLAs and other aspirants in the cabinet. It will also let BJP to know its worth and make it to rethink of its anti-Muslim and anti-Kashmiri policies.”
He appealed Mehbooba Mufti to give thought to the suggestion and also asked other non-BJP parties to rise to the occasion and represent the sentiments of the people viz-a-viz government formation.
