SRINAGAR: The Canadian Government is inviting online applications for its Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) for the academic year 2025. The scholarship aims to attract highly talented and skilled graduate students from around the world. A total of 166 PhD scholarships will be awarded to students who wish to pursue higher education in Canada and contribute research that benefits humanity. The scholarship is open to international students from all over the globe.
Doctoral programs, such as MA/PhD, MD/PhD, and master’s degrees leading to a PhD, are supported by the Vanier CGS. For three years, recipients will receive $50,000 per year to help with living expenses and tuition. The deadline for applications is October 30, 2024.
The primary criteria considered for the scholarship are academic achievement, leadership potential, and research potential in the natural sciences, health sciences, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. There is no interview procedure involved; decisions are based solely on the documentation provided. Applicants must be nominated by their institution to be eligible for the scholarship. They must meet all eligibility requirements and submit all necessary paperwork, including research proposals.
