Prof Talat Ahmad, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, and Prof MPS Ishar, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University, called on NN Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here this Thursday evening.
As per a statement the two Vice Chancellors briefed the Governor, who is Chancellor of both the Universities, about common issues relating to the functioning of the main campuses and the off-site campuses of both the varsities. The Governor and the Vice Chancellors also discussed other important issues relating to enhancing the teaching and research capacities and developing centres of excellence in both the institutions.
Navin K Choudhary, Principal Secretary to the Governor, was present during the discussions.
