Police is searching two persons of Bemina locality who are allegedly accused of hijacking a vehicle after beating its driver and others traveling in it. Both are also accused of extortion in the area.
Police sources told Kashmir Life that Parimpora Police station received a complaint of extortion against Tanveer Ahmad Dar and Tafeel Ahmad, both residents of Bemina, Srinagar.
A case FIR NO 35/2014 u/s 341 and 392 was immediately registered sources said adding the accused have also hijacked a Bolero vehicle, temporary no Q 163, from Lawaypora area after beating its driver and others travelling in it.
Police sources said that they have solid information about the involvement of the accused in other extortion cases as well.
They added that both the accused are hunted by Parimpora police and police is searching for them. “Police have informed the city Police about the accused and they are being followed,” sources said adding Police is hopeful that both will be arrested soon.
