SRINAGAR: Vocational Trainers continued their peaceful protest in Srinagar for the third consecutive day on Saturday, demanding an end to the outsourcing system in vocational education and the implementation of recommendations submitted by the Directors of School Education.
The trainers are also seeking improved service conditions and a formal job policy aimed at providing greater stability and security to those engaged in vocational education.
The protesters gathered at Floriculture Park near Sher-i-Kashmir Park and said their demands had already received support through recommendations made by the concerned Directors of School Education.
They urged the authorities to act on the recommendations and resolve the issue, saying the matter required intervention to address the concerns of vocational trainers.
The protesting employees also appealed to elected representatives and other stakeholders to raise their demands at the appropriate forums and support their efforts.
The trainers said intervention by the concerned authorities could help settle the issue and provide relief to hundreds of vocational trainers and their families.
