Vohra reviews Yatra after Batengoo attack

After the attack on Yatra pilgrims late last evening, resulting in 7 pilgrims being killed and 19 injured, Governor NN Vohra held a mid-night meeting to review the course of the Yatra. It was decided that the pilgrimage shall continue without any diminution whatsoever and this decision was conveyed to all Camp Directors and to the Yatri Niwas, Jammu, from where pilgrims leave for the Valley in a convoy every morning.

Today morning Governor held a meeting, in the Yatra Control Room, with Umang Narula, CEO, Jitendra Singh, Additional CEO, and other senior officers of the Shrine Board, to monitor the pace of today’s pilgrimage.

Governor directed CEO to ensure that, with effect from today, twice a day review meetings are held.
