Sleuths of Vigilance organisation caught a senior supervisor red-handed during a trap laid by the department on the basis of a complaint lodged in Vigilance Organization, Jammu by one Parveen Kumar son of Rattan Lal Rresident of Gajansoo, Jammu.
Kumar in his complain stated that Deedar Singh who is working as Senior Supervisor in J&K Khadi Village Industries Board, Jammu (KVIB) has demanded Rs.50,000/- as illegal gratification from him for processing his loan case.
As per the details, on persuasion of the complainant, the accused Deedar Singh had agreed to initially receive Rs. 5,000/- for processing his loan case.
Acting on the complaint, VOJ accordingly constituted a team. After completing all the formalities, the team proceeded on spot. The accused Deedar Singh, Senior Supervisor, J&K Khadi Village Industries Board, Jammu (KVIB) was caught red handed while demanding/accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000/- from the complainant in presence of independent witnesses.
The accused has been booked under FIR No. 04/2014 under relevant sections of law in Police Station.
