“Leaders from Delhi who come to Kashmir thinking that their speeches can console the people of Kashmir are misinformed,” this was stated by AIP spokesperson Showkat Ahmad Nadvi while terming the statement of External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid on Kunan-Poshpora as ‘fraud, mockery and a white lie’.

He said in the last 22 years Delhi tried to hush-up the case and now that it is an established fact they feel only ‘ashamed’.

“By mere words the victims of Kunan-Poshpora will not get justice. They must know that it is not their speeches but acts like Kunan-Poshpora, killings of three young innocent civilians by police in 2010 on this date in South Kashmir’s Anchidora area of Islamabad District and the hanging of Afzal Guru which reveal the real policies of Delhi in JK,” he added.

Taking dig at Mustafa Kamal’s statement, he said  “people have the right to know that if the present leaders of Hurriyat were contesting election in 1972 and late Sheikh Abdullah was struggling for self determination than why did he surrender the demand of self determination?  Does Mustafa Kamal want to concede that Sheikh Abdullah succumbed because of pressure from New Delhi or because he was tired and became power hungry at the end of the day”?
