SRINAGAR: The Water Works Division Srinagar has issued an urgent appeal to consumers, including government offices, semi-government institutions, private businesses, and households, to clear their outstanding water usage charges to ensure uninterrupted supply.
In an official notice, the department urged consumers to settle pending dues through any branch of J&K Bank, online banking via its official website, or by visiting the Water Works Division Srinagar office. Consumers have been given a one-month deadline from the issuance of the notice to clear their arrears, failing which legal action will be initiated against defaulters.
Additionally, the department has warned individuals using water supply illegally without registered connections to regularise their supply immediately. Failure to do so will result in the immediate disconnection of unauthorised connections without further notice.
