Resident of Wahab Sahib, Shar Shally in Pulwama’s Pampore town have alleged that the concerned PHE Civil division has provided illegal water supply connections to some commercial units.
The water supply that was meant for domestic and drinking purposes has been diverted to commercial units including dozens of dairy and poultry farms due to which residents face shortage of water supply, the residents alleged.
They said that despite bringing it to the notice of concerned officials no action has been taken yet against the erring units.
However, speaking to Kashmir Life AEE PHE civil division Pampore said, “We haven’t provided any illegal connection. But there are a few people whom we had provided general connection and they have set up commercial units after the connections were provided. We will soon disconnect their lines,” he assured.
