Terming the statement of member parliament Muzaffar Hussain Beigh as ridiculous and childish in which he had said that “the pro-freedom people should forget the Kashmir issue and join hands with the pro-Indian parties for helping the flood ravaged Kashmiris,” the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (G) in Wednesday’s press statement said that the Kashmir dispute is the issue of 13 million people and all the difficulties and miseries which the Kashmiris are facing are due to this long pending issue and India is forcibly occupying this state.
Hurriyat statement said, “the pro-freedom people don’t need any kind of advice from Beigh with regard to the helping of flood hit people of the state. They are already in that business from the very first day of floods while as the people like Muzaffar Beigh went missing with the floods and now when the floods are over, he appeared and issued such a statement to gain the political mileage.”
Terming Muzaffar Hussain Beigh a self-centered and a selfish politician, Hurriyat spokesman said that lust of power has placed ‘veil over the eyes’ of such people and that is why besides being highly educated, they are openly denying the Himalayan truth of Kashmir and are also advising other people to do the same.
“Hurriyat advises Beigh to remember those episodes when people were running for the life due to fear of floods and simultaneously were raising pro-freedom slogans and were expressing their freedom sentiments even when the disastrous water was at their feet,’ the statement said.
The spokesman said that during the last 6 decades, “the Indian rulers and their local paid agents tried their best to divert the minds of the people from the Kashmir issue and motivate them to compromise over the Indian forcible occupation but those people are nowhere and the Kashmir issue is still alive and in a more better position.”
“Why would people forget such a bitter truth that their freedom has been forcibly snatched by the so called democratic country and they have been made slaves with the help of military might.”
“Muzaffar Hussain Beigh like people from the tribe of Mir Jaffar and Mir Qasim issue such statements to get the salaries and other benefits but the conscious and human natured people will always raise the freedom slogans in whatever condition and in whatever, state and no power of the world would stop them for this,” the statement said.
The Hurriyat spokesman further said that Muzaffar Beigh himself uses Kashmir issue at the time of elections and sometime he issues statements in favour of Mohammad Afzal Guru and Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and sometimes he writes emotional poetry on the cruelties of Indian army in the Kashmir and sometimes he publishes his pro-freedom ghazals in the local news papers. These people have no character and no principles and these people change their colour according to the season.
The spokesman further said, “Beigh was very late in remembering the flood hit people of Kashmir and he should explain that where was he hiding from last 40 days when the pro-freedom leaders and pro-freedom people were rescuing and helping the people trapped in the floods and who informed him that the floods are over now.”
