SRINAGAR: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday reaffirmed the armed force’s unwavering vigilance in safeguarding India’s borders, calling Operation Sindoor a coordinated and highly effective mission that targeted nine terrorist sites inside Pakistani territory.
Speaking at the Lok Sabha on the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and the military response that followed, Singh stated that seven terror camps were completely destroyed. He emphasized that India has solid evidence of the damage inflicted within Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) and inside Pakistan.
Singh further stated that the strikes were precise and non-escalatory in nature. “Prior to launching Operation Sindoor, our forces evaluated all possible strategies and selected one that would inflict maximum damage on terrorist infrastructure while ensuring no civilian casualties,” he said.
Furhermore, he praised the armed forces for their professionalism and strategic acumen, affirming that India will continue to take decisive action against terrorism.
