SRINAGAR: A woman was injured after being attacked by a bear in Midoora area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
The woman, identified as Fatima, a resident of Midoora, sustained injuries in the attack and was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral for treatment.
Locals alleged that they had informed the Wildlife Department about the presence of the bear in the area, but no action was taken to capture it.
They have urged the concerned department to take immediate measures to prevent further attacks in the area. (KNT)
