SRINAGAR: A 45-year-old woman was killed after being attacked by a bear in an orchard in Tarigam village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, reports said.
The deceased was identified as Latifa Banoo, a resident of Tarigam.
According to reports, Banoo was working in an orchard when the bear attacked her. She suffered critical injuries and died at the spot.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over human-wildlife encounters in the area, particularly as residents continue to work in orchards and other agricultural fields.
