SRINAGAR: A woman was killed and two others injured after a load carrier collided with an e-rickshaw on Dhar Road in the Billawar area of Kathua district on Sunday, officials said.
Quoting an official, the news agency KNO reported that the accident occurred near Darmani when the load carrier collided with an e-rickshaw carrying three passengers.
He said all three occupants sustained injuries in the accident and were shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Billawar, where doctors declared one of them brought dead.
The identity of the deceased woman was yet to be ascertained.
“The other two injured persons are being provided medical care and will be referred to GMC Kathua for further treatment. Their condition was not immediately known,” the official said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation.
