JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik has announced that he will lead a protest program in Lal Chowk on Friday against issuing certificate of domicile to refugees from West Pakistan and other court orders aimed at changing state’s demography.

A statement issued by JKLF said that the rulers and their civil and police authorities have choked space on peaceful political activities. So, JKLF leader has gone into hiding so that he is able to lead tomorrows protest.

Besides, JKLF has strongly condemned the oppression unleashed against Kashmiri inmates languishing in different jails. The party has condemned prolonged incarceration of JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakshi, who has been shifted from Bemina police station to Kothibagh and is not being released despite court orders. The statement said that its district president Baramullah Abdul Rashid Magloo who is languishing in Kreeki police station and despite court order is not being released by police.

The statement mentioned continued detention of Noor Muhammad Kalwal (Kotbalwal jail), Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) , Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Ganderbal , Shabir Ahmad Ganaie of Kakapora Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir of Kupwara, Assadullah Sheikh of Kulgam, Molvi Reyaz of Sopore, Muhammad Ishaaq Malik Kokernagh, Sahib khan Trehgam , and Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Kunanposhpora. The party has asked ICRC and other human rights organizations to save these inmates.
