A wreath-laying event was held on Saturday in Police Lines Sopore where tributes were paid to the slain policeman Javeed Ahmad Lone son of Abdul Karim Lone, who was killed on Friday late night by unknown gunmen at his residence Warpora area of Sopore.
A police spokesperson in a statement said: “Senior police officers led by DIG NKR laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains and paid rich tributes to the slain cop.”
Javeed is survived by ailing mother, wife, 5-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son.
Police has registered a case in this regard and the investigation has been initiated in an instant manner.
