Yasha Mudgal Evaluates Cooperative Banks In JK, Emphasises CRAR Improvement

   

SRINAGAR: Commissioner Secretary of Cooperatives, Yasha Mudgal, on Tuesday conducted a thorough review of the Anantnag Central Cooperative Bank Ltd and Baramulla Central Cooperative Bank Ltd in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.

The review meeting focused on important aspects of these cooperative banks, such as non-performing assets (NPA), deposits, cash reserves, liabilities, Capital to Risk-Weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR), well-performing branches, and measures to reduce losses and improve recovery.

The meeting was attended by the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Managing Directors of both banks, Additional RCS, Director of Finance in the Cooperative Department, branch managers, and other stakeholders either in person or virtually.

During the meeting, the Managing Directors provided an overview of the banks’ physical and financial status.

It was emphasised that the banks should prioritize increasing recoveries and improving their CRAR.

Yasha Mudgal urged all banks to enhance their CRAR and reduce NPAs by implementing robust recovery strategies and delivering improved banking services.
