Ahead of the January 26, police have detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yasin Malik and vice chairman Mushtaq Ajmal from their Abi Guzar office in Srinagar.

The party spokesman said that soon after the culmination of Friday prayers, police arrived at the Abi Guzar office of the pro-freedom leader and took him to the custody along with vice chairman Mushtaq Ajmal.

Both the leaders were later lodged at police station Kothibagh.
