Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested on Saturday by police and has been detained at police station Kothibagh.

He spokesman said police in large numbers cordoned the residence of Malik, arrested him and shifted him to police station Kothibagh along with JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal.

The spokesman while strongly condemning the arrest of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, re-arresting JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwla, ban on a press conference by JRL, and government forces operation in which many boys were killed including Adil Ahmad who was “mercilessly crushed under a police vehicle”.

JKLF said that by crushing a young man to death, government forces and police have actually re-written the protocol of “cruelty” and this can only be termed as worst violence by men in uniform.

JKLF said that violence unleashed against Kashmiris is a glaring proof of forces and its direct responsibility lies on the shoulders of pro-India Kashmiri politicians, assembly members, opposition and ruling regime who provide legal shelter to government forces and in fact order these brutalities against Kashmiris. while paying rich tributes to “martyrs” who were killed today in Srinagar , JKLF said that when tyranny getting  increased day by day in Kashmir.

Expressing solidarity with photojournalists Farooq Ahmad Khan, Javaid Dar, Umar Asif who sustained injuries today at Chahatbal while performing their duties JKLF has prayed almighty for their speedy recovery.

Meanwhile paying rich tributes to advocate Peerzada Iftikhar, JKLF said that “martyrs” laid down their lives for the sacred cause of our freedom and it is our duty to safeguard these sacrifices. A JKLF delegation comprising of advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidi, , Muhammad Sideeq Shah, Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan, Molvi Ramzan, Molvi Ab Rashid, Nazir Ahmad and others visited the residence of Iftikhar and paid glowing tributes to him.
