Young Kashmir Innovators Get Patent for Transport Management Tool

   

SRINAGAR: In an impressive milestone for sustainable transportation, a group of five engineers from Kashmir—Hakim Moid, Jehangir Hameed Lone, Adil Yousuf, Shakir Rajab Bhat, and Ishrat Rajab—has attained a patent for their innovative creation: a Solar-Electrified Road for Wireless Charging of Electric Vehicles.

This patented technology combines solar power generation with wireless charging capabilities directly into road infrastructure, incorporating smart recognition and Car Driver Authentication. By eliminating the need for traditional charging stations, the innovation provides an efficient solution for electric vehicle owners, reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources and helping to mitigate the environmental impact of transportation.

The collaborative efforts of Hakim Moid, Jehangir Hameed Lone, Adil Yousuf, Shakir Rajab Bhat, and Ishrat Rajab, leveraging their diverse skills and insights, were instrumental in achieving this breakthrough.

With the patent secured, the team’s invention is poised to revolutionise electric vehicle charging infrastructure on a global scale. The scalable and adaptable nature of the Solar-Electrified Road makes it suitable for implementation in various urban and rural settings, facilitating widespread adoption of electric vehicles.
