SRINAGAR: In a tragic event, the body of a young woman was retrieved while hanging on a tree in a Budgam village, reports said. Police have started investigations.
The lady was identified as Mehmooda married to a resident of Darwan Nowgam in Budgam district. The lady basically belongs to Zasuw village of Pulwama district and had married two years back.
Reports said the body was traced hanging by Mehmood’s parental family that moved from Pulwama. They had been told by her in-laws that their daughter had left home overnight, reports from the area alleged.
Mehmooda’s parents have said that unable to speak their daughter following multiple attempts yesterday, they grew suspicious and soon received a call from the in-laws stating that, she has left the home. Immediately, the family rushed to Chrar e Shareef and upon searching for the lady, her body was found hanging to a tree in a nearby field.
Police have collected the body and shifted it for mandatory post mortem. The last reports said the in-laws family is absconding. It apparently was seeming a suicide but the police and the lady’s parents have strong doubts. The couple lacked a kid and her husband was apparently unemployed despite being a masters in a subject.
