National Conference Working President and MLA Beerwah Omar Abdullah on Saturday spent his day in his constituency in Beerwah where he received numerous public delegations and interacted with his constituents from various different areas of the constituency.
“The NC Working President took note of the status of various developmental works in the constituency and passed instructions to the local administration to work in close contact with the locals in resolving public issues,” a party statement said this evening.
Omar Abdullah also held consecutive meetings with the youth from his constituency and discussed various aspects of the State’s political developments and implored them to take active part in policy making by ensuring regular feedback and constructive criticism, the statement said.
“The participation of the youth in matters of governance is indispensable for the growth of our State. I implore all of you to take the lead in ushering this State into prosperity and growth. Our youth is articulate and opinionated and cannot be taken for a ride by u-turns and contradictory statements. I am and will forever remain a votary of youth empowerment and will never stop from focusing our core political agenda on the welfare and growth of our youth,” the NC Working President said.
The NC Working President and MLA Beerwah also held detailed meetings with elders and senior citizens from the constituency and asked them to guide the youth towards constructive participation in empowerment and progress of the State and its people.
Stating that he would continue to ensure there is a sustained connect between the people of Beerwah and him as their local MLA, Omar Abdullah said there were a lot of propagandists who had wrongly assumed and falsely propagated that he would not be accessible in Beerwah after the election results.
“These propagandists ironically have disappeared from not only their own constituencies but also from the ground in general. I have maintained a connect with all of you and will continue to do so. There should be no doubt about this. My Constituency Office in Magam is open for all of you and as your local MLA, I will always be at your service. I am and will forever remain committed to the development, progress and prosperity of Beerwah and its people at par with the State and its people as a whole,” the NC Working President added.
