Now, Bukhari Distributes Relief Among Baramulla Fire Victims

Some days after when separstists distriubuted relief amongst firevictims of Baramullah, Minister for Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs and Relief & Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari, Saturday distributed relief cheques worth Rs 13.5 Lakh among 16 fire affected families from Old Town Baramulla.

“The assistance, was provided as per the revised State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) norms. Relief of Rs 101900 was given for the fully damaged houses while Rs 5200 for the partially damaged ones,” an official statement said.

The Government recently enhanced the relief amount under SDRF from Rs 75000 to Rs 101900 for fully damaged houses and from Rs 3800 to Rs 5200 for partially damaged ones, the statement said.

The Minister said that the Government is aware of the difficulties faced by the people and will take all required measures to help the people who are in need.

He also urged the Deputy Commissioner and concerned officers to extend all necessary support and help to the affected people forthwith.
