SRINAGAR: A young biker lost his life after being crushed by a speeding truck at New Plot Road in Jammu on Monday morning.
Police sources said the truck, loaded with cement, hit the biker, killing him on the spot. “The deceased has been identified as Akshay Kumar, a resident of Bhadarwah, who was currently staying with his relatives in Chinor.”
Following the accident, the truck driver fled the scene, causing chaos and stranding traffic for over an hour. The incident led to a massive traffic jam, inconveniencing commuters.
Bakshi Nagar Police Station has registered a case and launched an investigation to track down the absconding driver. (KNT)
