SRINAGAR
Police Sunday said that a youth died in a vehicular accident in Kathua in Jammu region. His body is lying in a Jammu hospital. He was from Srinagar’s Mehjoor Nagar area.
Meanwhile, the local residents of Mehjoor Nagar early Sunday blocked the road at Rambagh with the result the shops of the area too were shut.
The identity of the deceased youth could not be ascertained yet.
“Due to the closure of Srinagar-Jammu highway, the body could not be brought home, now the locals want it to be airlifted to Srinagar,” a police official said.
