SRINAGAR: A young man was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances in Rathana village of Arnia, Jammu district, on Wednesday.
Officials said the deceased has been identified as Sikandar, a resident of Rathana village. The body was spotted hanging from a tree, following which the police were informed.
Police teams reached the spot, retrieved the body, and took it into custody. It was later shifted to a hospital for post-mortem, officials added.
Meanwhile, a police officer told JKNS that a case has been registered and an investigation has been initiated. “While it appears to be a suicide, all possible angles are being looked into,” the officer said. (JKNS)
