Terming government’s ‘healing touch’ as a policy of ‘Killing Touch’, UJC supremo and Hizb chief Syed Sallah-ud-din on Tuesday said the two youth killed by forces in Tral on Monday were not militants.

In an emailed statement issued to KNS,  Sallah-ud-din said that the people who are in the ‘oblivion’ of weakening the ongoing resistance movement in  Kashmir by ‘killing innocents’ are living in ‘fool’s paradise’. “Indeed our resolve for the movement has got more strengthened and people of Kashmir will continue to strive for their birth right. Killing militant Burhan’s brother and other youth, forces have revealed it to the world that they have failed in their fight.”

He added that Khalid Wani was an educated youth while as Younis was doing a local business of tents.“Their love for the resistance movement of Kashmir cannot be ignored but they had no links with the militant activities. As they have been tortured to death it has unmasked the great claims of democracy and justice.”

The statement reads that the UJC supremo also prayed for the slain youth and expressed solidarity with their families. “The blood and sacrifices rendered by our youth will never go in waste and the ongoing fight for freedom shall continue. No one shall be allowed to barter with the sacred blood of martyrs.”
