Unknown gunmen shot dead a youth at Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district late Tuesday evening.
A police official told GNS that the incident took place late this evening at around 09:15 pm at Cherihar Kawool village of Sopore, 54 km north of Srinagar city.
He said that two gunmen barged into the house of Muhammad Iqbal Khan (23) son of Late Ghulam Mohd Khan and forcibly took him outside.
The youth was later shot dead in the premises of his house, the official said.
“Though he was moved to hospital immediately but succumbed to bullet wounds,” the official said.
Soon after the incident, army and police cordoned off the whole area and launched man hunt to nab the attackers.
