Forces on Thursday launched a cordon and search operation in Kashew village of Chitragam tehsil in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A top police official said that 3 RR, 14th BN CRPF and SOG Zainapora cordoned off the village on Thursday evening.
He said the CASO was launched in the village following inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources said that large numbers of forces have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation is going on.
