Srinagar

Civilian protesters on Friday clashed with forces at Tahab and Hawl villages in the southern part of Kashmir’s Pulwama district after congregational prayers.

Reports quoting witnesses said that soon after the congregational prayers ended, scores of youth took to streets at Tahab and Hawl villages and staged pro-freedom protests.

However, the protest marches were stopped by forces triggering clashes.

Forces used tear gas shells and fired some shots in the air at Tahab village to disperse the protesters, they said.
