Clashes erupted between protesters and forces in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama villages on Saturday morning where the forces had laid a siege.
Sources said that government forces early morning launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) at Naira village during youth attacked force’s parties at Trichal and Naira villages.
Forces resorted to teargas shelling and aerial firing against the stone-pelting protesters.
They said that youth attacked forces vehicles with stones who were returning from CASO at Naira. Forces also damaged window panes of some residential houses during clashes, locals alleged.
