Youth clashed with police and paramilitary forces in old town Islamabad district on Friday.
The youth hurled rocks on the forces, who responded by firing tear smoke shells in Reshibazar and Lal-chowk areas of town, reports said.
Forces were deployed in strength in southern Kashmir areas to prevent any rallies ahead of maiden anniversary of slain Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani.
Wani’s killing in a gunfight on July 8 last year triggered a four-month-long unrest in which nearly hundred civilians were killed in forces’ action.
