Government forces on Wednesday resorted to aerial firing after the clashes erupted between the youth and government forces in Pinjoora village of district Shopian.
Reports said that youth pelted stones on an army Casspir vehicle which was on patrol duty in Pinjoora village, triggering clashes.
Army men, they said, responded by resorting to aerial firing to disperse the protesters.
However, the situation is said to be under control now and there was no report of any injuries also.
