A group of people from Kashmir on Thursday held a peaceful demonstration at press enclave Srinagar demanded capital punishment for the accused involved in rape and murder of 8-year old girl Asifa Bano in Jammu’s Kathua district.

The protesters while raising slogans against the Hindu Ekta Manch demanded justice for Asifa and hanging of Deepak Khajuria, the main accused in the case.

“A 8-year-old innocent girl was raped and murdered and Hindu Ekta Manch held a protest rally against the arrest of the accused.Shame on the people who supported a rapist and murder of minor innocent,” said Peer Vikar, a protester.

“It is a plotted conspiracy against the Gujjar community.They were beaten and harassed,” he added.

The protesters demanded immediate hanging of Deepak khajuria and ban of Hindu Ekta Manch.” We demand all the accused should be hanged and Hindu Ekta Manch should be disbanded immediately,” said Irshad Ahmad, another protester.

“Vijay Sharma and others who supported the accused should be booked in contempt of the court,” he said.

While decrying the gruesome murder of Asifa the protesters urged the people of Kashmir to come together for the sake of humanity and fight till the culprits are being punished.

Earlier people had taken out a protest rally threatening agitation in case Special Police Officer accused of rape and murder of a minor girl Asifa in Kuthua was not released from custody.

The protest was Led by BJP leader and leaders of Hindu Ekta Manch, the protesters took out a rally from Ghagwal to Hiranagar in Kathua against the arrest of SPO Deepak in rape and brutal murder case.
