Minister for Finance Dr Haseeb Drabu on Monday informed the house that IT-enabled initiatives are being introduced in Government Departments including Finance Department for enforcing greater transparency and accountability in the system.
The spokesman said replying to a question of Mohammad Khursheed Alam, the Minister said that IT-enabled system like PFMS, DBT, GP fund computation will improve fund management, employee services, beneficiary enabled services, monitoring, control of receipt and expenditure on the real-time basis. He said that a shift in the fiscal management of the state will be witnessed with the complete adoption of IT applications for all the business processes.
“The move will become decision support system and will foster monitoring and timely control in the system, “he added.
Dr Drabu said that necessary guidelines and training about these applications have been issued and imparted from time to time.
